You will need wax sheets for jewellery. These sheets cost about $20 each. You will need a kit of tools for cutting wax, which costs about $10. You will need a heat gun, which costs about ten dollars and mould release spray, which costs about ten dollars as well.
Steps Of Making Grillz
Making grillz takes five steps.

Grillz Making Process
Grillz are a delicate piece of jewellery. A craftsman needs to work precisely in order to make a perfect grillz. If you do one wrong move in any step of the grillz making process that i am going to tell you you wont get a perfect grillz. Following the steps is necessary if you want a grillz that will fit perfectly. So let’s learn the grillz making process in detail.
Making The Mould
STEP 1: The first thing you need to do is mould your teeth. You need to use a dental impression kit. There will be three things in the dental impression kit. Two pieces of putty and a plastic tray. When you mix the two putties, they will harden into a silicone mould.
Make sure to clean the plastic tray with alcohol or hot water and soap before you start. Make sure it’s completely dry before starting.
You have to take out both of the putties and mix them for exactly 30 seconds. You have to mix it until the whole thing is light blue and no more white shows. As you mix it, you’ll see that the substance slowly gets harder.
So, do this for exactly 30 seconds and no longer. When 30 seconds are up, You will roll it up into a small tube and put it in the plastic tray.
STEP 2: The next step is to put the mixture into the tray and spread it out evenly. Make sure everything is flat by pressing on the top. Try to make the top as level and flat as you can.
You have to put it in the client’s mouth and press it up for exactly five minutes. If you’re doing your bottom teeth, you’ll press down and hold that position for the whole five minutes.
When the five minutes are up, gently move the tray to the left or right and pull the mould down. Now that the mould is done, the most important thing is that you can see the gum line. If you can see the gum line, it means the mould worked.
Make A Model Of The Tooth With Dental Cement
STEP 1: You need to make a dental cement model, which is why you need to make a silicone mould. This will be the next thing we do.
You can buy many different kinds of cement mixes. One cup of water and two and a half cups of cement need to be mixed. Cold water can’t be used. The water needs to be the hottest.
You’re going to need two cups. You need to put the water in one cup and the cement mix in the other. Just so you know, you can make 50 or more models from a $15 bag of cement.
So, when you start to mix, it’s very important to pour the cement into the water and not the other way around.
STEP 2: The cement needs to be poured in. Don’t pour it all out at once. So, when you start pouring, a chemical reaction will happen. There will be a small amount of smoke.
Just don’t breathe this in and make sure you wear gloves when you do this. It is very important not to get this on your skin since it can burn you. Okay, so once you’ve poured the whole cup in, you’ll slowly start to steer it.
You need to steer this for about five minutes, or until it gets thick. Now, make sure you don’t move in a circle to keep air bubbles from forming.
STEP 3: So, once you’re done steeping, the next step is to pour the cement into the mould. Now, do this slowly so that air bubbles don’t get into the cement.
It’s important to poke each tooth with a toothpick right after you pour the cement to make sure there’s no air trapped inside.
If you don’t do this, your model will probably have holes from air bubbles if you don’t. If that happens, the whole mould will have to be redone.
STEP 4: You have to give the cement about an hour to dry. You can take it out after that. When you’re done, carefully take out the cement.
The first thing you’ll do is check the teeth to see if there are any flaws or holes. If there are no problems, you can move on to the next step, which is the waxing process.
Waxing Process
The first thing you’ll do is spray the mould release frame onto the model. Now, let’s talk about wax, which is the next very important step.
When making grillz, the most important thing is to use a wax that does not shrink. There will be different thicknesses of wax sheets. The wax sheet will be thicker if the gauge is less.
If you melt regular jewelry wax and put it on each tooth, that’s another way to make grillz. Again, if you do it this way, make sure you buy wax that won’t shrink. Two cups of water are needed.
One cup will have hot water, and the other will have cold water. The hot water will soften the wax so you can put it on the tooth model, and the cold water will harden the wax.
You can also sand it down later so you can cut it more precisely. You can cut the wax sheet in half and put each half in the hot water for 30 seconds if you want to.
Then, you’ll pull it out, wipe off the water, and put it on the dental model. You have to put the wax in the middle of the cement model, and then you have to press down on each tooth to cover it with wax.
You’ll start in the middle and work your way out. For every two you use for the grillz, you need to do this. Now, if you want a very light grill, all you have to do is use a very thin layer of wax.
But you can add more layers if you want your grillz to be thicker and heavier, have more gold, or hold diamonds.
The next step is to use your thumb to press on every space between the teeth. After that, you’ll take the tool with the little circle on the end and start pressing it in between the teeth.
Don’t forget that if you need to soften the wax, you can always put it back into hot water. The next step is to use the same tool to draw lines between each tooth.

If you need to, you can also put the piece in cold water and sand it down. Make sure the piece fits the mould when you are done.
Casting
The next step is to put a spoon in the mould to cast. You need to take the wax and roll it into a small tube. Then you need to melt the end and glue it to the piece. After you’ve done this, you can start to cast the piece.
You can use any karat of gold, silver, or any other metal used in jewellery to make a mould. When you get the piece back from being cast, it will look a little rough at first.
First, you’re going to look for any flaws, and then you’ll put it back on the cement model to make sure it fits. If it doesn’t fit, it’s probably because there was something wrong with the wax you used and it shrank. If that happens again, make sure you use wax that doesn’t shrink.
Polishing
The next step is to take the piece to a polisher and have them polish it. The polisher will put little rubber balls inside the teeth to keep the shape from changing while the teeth are being polished.
Make sure the polisher did a good job when you get the piece back, and put it back on the cement model to make sure everything fits.
Also, make sure the polisher doesn’t polish anything inside. You can make any kind of grill this way.
